![]() Liz Leahy CEO & Founder Elizabeth Leahy (CEO & Co-founder) is an entrepreneur with 15 plus years experience in leading companies to achievement in both the interactive marketing and customer retention sectors. She has measurable success as a developer of online platforms and, as a digital marketing expert with a focus on the entertainment Industry. Prior to Section 101, Liz was Executive Vice President at Bigfoot interactive a top email marketing company. As one of the first employees she was instrumental in the development of company, its email platform and in growing the client base to include Disney, Capital One, News Corp., New Line Cinema, MCI, Cox Communications, Time, Newsweek, AT&T Wireless and others. Liz speaks at many conferences in the United States, Canada and United Kingdom. Her experience and success with musicians in the online space has solidified Liz as a knowledgeable resource in marketing, branding and fan management. Liz has a BA from Georgetown University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is also a mentor for emerging entrepreneurs with the Eugene Lang Center at Columbia University.

![]() Jim Hoffman CTO & Founder Jim Hoffman (CTO &Co-founder) is an entrepreneur with 20 years experience in leading entertainment-based companies to success in the technology and online marketing arenas. A self-taught Programmer, Jim developed the technical end of Section 101 from its inception to its current state as an outstanding self-service digital marketing product. Prior to S101, Jim was one of the founders of Bigfoot Interactive, an email marketing company that was one of the first to understand and leverage the reach of the web. He has achieved outstanding success as a developer of online platforms, and is a recognized expert industry source on issues affecting interactive marketing, web trends and standards. Jim remains active in media and technology convergence, with many diverse experiences that include providing expert guidance to up and coming businesses.

![]() Ken Umezaki Board Member / Advisor Ken Umezaki (Advisor) brings an extraordinary amount of diverse international business success, strategic product development experience and passion for music to the S101 team. Ken has helped to build successful businesses within financial services for over 20 years. As one of the initial participants in the interest rate derivatives markets in both Japan and the United States, Ken worked to create product awareness, gain client acceptance, consistency and scalability for products that now represent the lifeblood of modern corporate finance. Ken is also an enormous music fan as well as an accomplished bass player whose band, The Fifth, has played at several venues in the NYC area. Ken currently sits on the New York Board of Little Kids Rock, an organization that sponsors after-school music programs for schools that have cut music education from the curriculum. He also sponsors numerous music related activities through his company Digital Daruma.

![]() Weylan Lee VP, Creative Director Weylan Lee (VP, Creative Director) comes way of the famed Savannah College of Art & Design in Georgia where he majored in industrial design and minored in sculpture. Having done work as a sculptor/model-make for Clockwork-Apple, an industrial designer for SONIC design and a graphic designer for artnet Worldwide, he has recently worked in graphic design for clients such as Boulton and Watt NYC, Stephan Partners, Five Points Graphics and more. At Section 101, Weylan oversees all of the creative direction for the company and its clients. An innovative artist, we are excited to utilize his pioneering vision on a daily basis.

![]() Rebecca Calejo Sr. Dir, Client Services Rebecca Calejo (Sr. Director, Partnerships & Biz Dev) makes Section 101 hum. After graduating from The Moore School of Business at The University of South Carolina (where she was a DJ at the school's WUSC FM Radio station), she moved to NYC where she immersed herself into the music industry working with Section 101 right out of college. Since then, she has assumed a leadership role with the company’s well established acts, authors and brands such as Duran Duran, Pentatonix, Aimee Mann, Diane Birch, Corey Taylor (Slipknot), BUSH, Laurie Anderson, Tracy Lawrence, Eagles of Death Metal, BWR Public Relations, MusicFirst, along with many others to ensure that each artist’s online needs are met in the most effective ways. She has directed events and coordinated Section 101's sponsorships and exhibitions at conferences such as SXSW, CMJ, New Music Seminar, ASCAP EXPO LA, Driven Music Conference, IES, Dewey Beach, MEOW Con and more. Rebecca speaks on music panels, conducts workshops and offers mentoring sessions at the many conferences she attends. Rebecca is also member of A2IM and the Women In Music Organization.

![]() Kathleen Conley Dir, Customer Care Kathleen Conley (Dir, Customer Care) began working at Section 101 shortly after graduating from Fordham University in the Bronx. After interning at MPL Communications and Sony Music, she found her way to Section 101 and never looked back. She has worked her way in to an invaluable role at the company, overseeing our Do-It-Yourself Customer Care team. Kathleen makes sure our customers not only remain happy and get the most of their online presence but that they also have someone they can reach 24/7. She works with the team to create new solutions, implement messaging and tutorials, and makes sure every method of communication – from email to phone to live chat – is covered by her highly skilled team. We are very lucky to have Kathleen as the face – and voice – of Section 101’s DIY solution.

![]() David Bendes Dir, Business Operations David Bendes (Dir, Business Operations) comes to Section 101 from the University of Rochester. At Section101, David is a master of many things including analytics, product testing and development, email marketing solutions, strategy for product roadmaps, code mock ups, billing/invoicing and – perhaps best of all –the Section 101 Fact of the Day. Clearly not a lazy bug, David developed his own App while at UofR, becoming the Kaufman Entrepreneurial of the Year Scholar. The App, available to students, created a way for them to practically and academically learn about the music business, while also providing a way to link those interested students together. He continues to move the music business forward, one day at a time, with Section 101.

![]() Katy Krassner New Media Katy Krassner (Communication Director) is a former independent publicist and label VP of PR, who has worked with artists as diverse as Robert Plant, Kiss, Duran Duran, John Mellencamp, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Morrissey, Tegan & Sara and CAKE to name just a few. She is a published author and successful entertainment-based writer. With both an undergraduate and graduate degree in communications, and a keen sense for media developed after years at entertainment companies, Katy made a mid-career transition to online and social media driven specialties. Katy navigates the world of written communication and content on behalf of Section 101.
