Riptide, a Los Angeles based music sync and publishing company has merged with Pigfactory to form the Riptide Music Group. The combined company will provide music licensing services to television, advertising, film and videogames, as well as administer international publishing. The combined groups’ most recent work includes music placements in “Breaking Bad,” “True Detective” and trailers for “Noah” and “Wolf of Wall Street.”.
Riptide Music is a co-founder, along with Section 101 and Manic Monkee, of the Quantum Collective, a music marketing company that brings music artists, celebrities and consumer brands together through innovative programs and live events. This year, the third annual Southwest Invasion will take place on March 14 and 15 during SXSW on the Whole Foods Rooftop in downtown Austin. The Southewest Invasion features 32 artists over 2 full days of music, food, art and fun. Confirmed acts include Lisa Marie Presley, A Great Big World, Matisyahu, Suzanne Vegas, Bad Things featuring Shaun White and more.
