Come on Baby, Let's Blog!

Do you Blog on your Section 101 website?

Blogging can take many forms – as a ‘postcard’ to your audience talking about a particular happening, as a diary while you’re in the middle of something unique like a Festival visit or promo tour, or even in the form of a commentary about something that excites you. “Back in the day” (like, 3 years ago!), Tumblr was the go-to blogging source, but much has changed and people are incorporating Blogs in to their website. Not only is it a great way for people to get to know you better, it’s also a great way to repurpose content and drive people back to your website. You can post snippets of your blog on your social media and encourage people to visit your website to continue reading.

A few things to keep in mind when you craft a blog:

1) Is your blog engaging? Is your topic far-reaching enough to entice broad interest? It’s great to blog about a topic your passionate about, but if you blog often, make sure that a strong handful of your topics have extensive appeal.

2) Is your topic captivating enough to keep readers commenting and interested in what your reaction is?

3) Is it personal? Keep your blog at some level of personalization so readers feel like they’re getting a glimpse in to what’s important to you
