The New York Times calls it “The coolest music scene today” and they’re not wrong: AmericanaFest, the Americana Music Fest and Conference, will take place in Nashville from September 12-17. Now commemorating their 18th year celebrating Americana music, the Festival takes place over six days of seminars, panels and showcases. Two stellar Section 101 clients will be performing at this year’s event – Jamie Kent and Lucie Silvas.
Jamie Kent is touring non-stop behind his successful ALL AMERICAN MUTT album, released last October and debuting at #16 on the Billboard Country Album chart. Rolling Stone named the title track as one of their 25 top country singles of 2016, saying the track was “packed with a funky vamp, splashes of fast-picking twang and a pop sensibility.”
Lucie Silvas, who was also a performer at last year’s AmericanaFest, will be playing songs from her latest, LETTERS TO GHOSTS (“a cool raw soulful vibe”), which came out in 2016. Along with AmericanaFest, Lucie will be performing with Little Big Town in Nashville in mid-September and then head to the UK for dates throughout November.
