The American Music Award nominations were announced last week, and we were excited to see two friends of Section 101 on the list: Imagine Dragons, nominated in the Best New Artist, Favorite Band, Duo or Group - Pop/Rock & Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock categories and Lumineers, nominated in the Favorite Artist - Alternative Rock category. 

Both acts performed as part 2012’s Quantum Collective's Southwest Invasion (2013’s was sponsored by Amazon MP3 and also had many amazing acts!). Section 101 is part of the QC, a collection of like minded companies whose combined experience in artist and content development, online and social media marketing, event production and cross-branding exposure builds awareness for music artists, corporate and lifestyle brands. For the second year in a row, the Collective's biggest event, The Southwest Invasion, took place on the rooftop of Whole Foods in downtown Austin during SXSW.
