Give A Little, Get A lot

Everyone likes to feel special and unique, especially when they feel they’re being offered something that is just for them. They may not know they want it, but it’s your job to make them feel that way. Therefore, it is important to try and capture email addresses, and to give people who show interest a little something in return.

An email database is still an all-important factor in keeping your fans engaged and updated.  If you only “sell-sell-sell” to your audience, you will turn people off; if you give them something of worth every now and again, they will be more encouraged to stick around to see what you might do next. It could be a coupon, a special discount code, a free tutorial in what you’re good at, a white paper, a giveaway - it is always beneficial for your audience to feel like they’re getting some scoop before anyone else. An important tactic to succeeding at email marketing is for the people who are interested in what you do to realize that you know that their support is invaluable.
