CATCH LIZ LEAHY AND SECTION 101 AT SXSW 2013!

Section 101, a New York based interactive company that develops new ways for singers, songwriters and musicians to market, promote and monetize their brand is pleased to announce company CEO Liz Leahy will once again be moderating a panel at this year’s SXSW Music Conference.

Following 2010’s Getting a Digital Ass Kicking?, 2011’s Fan Analytics for Dummies, and 2012’s On the Web, Biggest Opportunities that Others Miss, Liz will be discussing an area she is extremely passionate about, branding. With The Brand Called YOU: A New Take on an Old Theme, Liz will be leading a discussion on what should be your biggest selling point — you! To find the most success with your audience, you should think of your brand as a relationship that needs to be nurtured. Be honest and communicate with your fan base – this will help you build your brand. Joining Liz on the panel will be artist manager Jonathan Kalter (Pentatonix, Kina Grannis), Allison Shaw, CEO of Manic Monkey Management and Gabe Spierer, Director of Media for Beggars Group.

As in previous years, you will also find Section 101 in the exhibit area, stationed at the Austin Convention Center at booth #105. We will be showcasing our amazing website solutions, showing people how they can build a beautiful website as well as providing attendees with advice on re-modeling their current site (bring your assets!). Section 101 will be giving free trials of our website builds for any one who is interested. The Exhibition area in the Austin Convention center is open Sunday, March 10 from 11a-6p, Monday, March 11 from 11a-6p, Tuesday, March 12 from 11a-6p and Wednesday, March 12 from 11a to 4p.

Section 101 is also a founding member of The Quantum Collective, an innovative music company that expands awareness for artists and brands through content development, social media marketing, cross-branding exposure and event production during top tier music festivals and conventions. At this year’s SXSW, The Quantum Collective will present the second Southwest Invasion (the inaugural event took place last year) on March 15th and 16th 2013 from 11am to 10pm at the Whole Foods’ rooftop. Featuring 36 bands over two days, the line up includes ZZ Ward, NO, He's My Brother She's My Sister and Pentatonix. The event will be sponsored in part by Amazon MP3, making the Southwest Invasion the first SXSW event they’ve ever participated in. Additional sponsors include O.N.E. Coconut Water, Bohemian Guitars. Strongbow Hard Cider, Barefoot, PBR and IROCKE and Pirate’s Booty.

The SXSW Music Conference will run from March 12-17th, 2013 in Austin, TX.

The Brand Called YOU: A New Take on an Old Theme will take place on March 13, from 3:30PM - 4:30P in the Austin Convention Center, Room 17A.
