SECTION 101 RETURNS TO CMJ!

September 28, 2011 - New York, NY – Section 101, a New York-based company that develops simple and effective tools for artists to market, promote and monetize their brand online, is excited to announce is pleased to announce company President Elizabeth Leahy will be moderating a panel at this year’s CMJ Music Marathon and Film Fest on the NYU campus in New York City. After sitting on the “Your Brand is Your Future” panel last year, Liz was asked to return to moderate her own panel. **I’m Rubber, You’re Glue: Are People Bouncing Away from Your Website?, will take place on October 20th at 12:30 PM, tackling the topic of why so many artist websites have an unacceptable bounce rate - in other words, half of the people who visit the homepage leave without checking out ever checking out the other pages. Liz and her fellow panelists will examine the common mistakes made when creating, branding, marketing and launching your website, and will provide concrete and useful tips to make sure that visitors stay on your site while it remains compelling, relevant and primed for success. The panel includes Marni Wadner, CEO of Sneak Attack Media (Daryl Hall, Florence+ the Machine, Cowboy Junkies, Trombone Shorty) Will Simon, an artist manager from Michael Hausman Management (Suzanne Vega, Aimee Mann, Marc Cohn, Christine Courtin) and Joseph Blaise, an artist who performs with My Glorious Mess. Section 101 will also have a presence as an Exhibitor in the CMJ Exhibitors’ Loft & Lounge area, where attendees can stop by the S101 booth for product demonstrations and tutorials. In addition, Section 101 will be a co-sponsor of the A2IM Opening Night party on October 17th and host their own invite-only confab with Sneak Attack Media on October 19th.
